DWC WEEKLY JOBWATCH

Monday JobWatch - 19th October 2026

Welcome to this week’s DWC Jobwatch.

This week, I’ve found some decent opportunities that go beyond the usual freelance writing roles.  there are some interesting possibilities for writers and dental professionals with the right experience.

As always, these are curated opportunities, not a list of every writing job we could find. Some are highly specialised, so take a moment to check the requirements before applying.

Please note that all projects are live at the time of compiling this list.

DENTAL CONTENT OPPORTUNITIES

Short - Form Content Scriptwriter and Strategist For Dental Practices & Other Businesses

Company: US Marketing Agency

Job Type: Freelance

Location: Remote but must have 4 hours overlap with US Pacific time

Salary: $2000 -$2500 per month

Role Summary:

To produce short-form content including video scripts and paid Meta ads for local businesses, including dental clinics

Who might be a fit?
Someone who has proven short-form work and who understands hooks, retention and video storytelling.

Important – Must have a  4-hour overlap with US Pacifc time

Dale’s Take:

This is an interesting one for a writer who is comfortable with scripts and copy rather than traditional content. Dental experience is only a bonus, so it isn’t exclusively dental — but the agency specifically works with dental clinics.

SEO Content Writer for Dental & Medical Clients

Company: RevenueWell

Job Type: Freelance

Location: Remote

Salary: Not Stated

Role Summary:

Providing website copy, procedure pages, doctor bios, Google Business Profile copy, patient-facing content, SEO articles, proofreading and related content. Specifically involves writing for dental and medical clients,

Who might be a fit?

Dental or healthcare writers with strong SEO skills, dental professionals who write well, medical copywriters, or dental marketing/content specialists with a good portfolio.

Dale’s Take:

This is a strong fit for someone who can combine dental knowledge + good writing + SEO. I particularly like that the work goes beyond blog posts into patient-facing website copy, treatment pages, doctor bios and other conversion-focused content. You don’t need to be a dentist, but you do need solid writing and SEO experience.

Direct Response Copywriter Dental/Service Businesses

Company: Australian lead-generation agency

Job Type: Freelance contract-to-hire

Location: Worldwide / remote

Salary: $50-$100 per hour

Role Summary:
Assisting the agency with writing a series of direct-response Meta ads. The first paid project is 3 × 300-word ads, with the possibility of immediate ongoing contract work

Who might be a fit?
Someone who has experience with paid Meta ads. – Has worked with an Australian, UK and/or USA based agency. – Must be able to show reference examples of work you have been paid to write

Dale’s Take:
This isn’t purely a dental role but it’s a good project role to take on if you’re looking to work with a trusted agency and expand your copy experience.

Healthcare & Medical Writing Opportunities

Senior Medical Writer

Company: Cactus Communications

Job Type:  Full Time

Location: Remote

Salary: Not Stated

Role Summary:

Write and develop scientific and medical content for pharmaceutical/healthcare clients including Manuscripts, abstracts, posters, conference materials, presentations, literature reviews, website content, patient materials, infographics and digital/interactive content.

Who might be a fit?
Someone with 5+ years in medical publications, preferably within a pharmaceutical company or medical communications agency.

Dale’s Take:

This is a really strong medical communications role for an experienced writer. What I like is the mix of serious scientific writing with more varied work such as digital content, websites, patient materials, presentations and infographics.

You’d need a solid medical/scientific background and several years of professional medical-writing experience, so this isn’t an entry-level content-writing job. But for someone already established in medcomms, the combination of international pharma clients, varied projects and a senior writing/reviewing role makes this a good opportunity for the right person.

This Week's Takeaway

Final Thoughts:

There are some genuinely worthwhile opportunities in this week’s list, particularly for experienced dental writers, healthcare content specialists and medical communications professionals. The Cactus Life Sciences role is a good example of the kind of position I’m increasingly keen to highlight — established employer, serious medical-writing work, international clients and a proper professional role rather than a race to the bottom on price.

Good luck with any applications this week.
