DWC WEEKLY JOBWATCH

Welcome to this week’s DWC Jobwatch.

This week’s Jobwatch brings you four opportunities across dental and healthcare content, covering web content writing and senior content editing, alongside a content marketing opportunity working specifically with dental practices. I’ve also included a broader healthcare copywriting role for anyone looking to take their experience beyond dentistry and into the wider medical space.

As always, these are curated opportunities, not a list of every writing job I could find. Some may be highly specialised, so take a moment to check the requirements before applying.

DENTAL WRITING OPPORTUNITIES

JOB TITLE: Web Content Writer

Company: DentaVacation

Job Type:  Freelance

Location: Remote

Salary: Not Specified

Role Summary:

Creating engaging, accurate content around dental tourism and treatments. The role involves researching dental procedures, writing patient-facing website content, working with dentists and hospitals, and applying SEO principles.

Who might be a fit?

An experienced dental, healthcare or medical content writer who can turn complex treatment information into clear, trustworthy content for patients. Strong research and SEO skills would be an advantage.

Dale’s Take:

This role is a very natural fit for an experienced dental writer. Companies like this normally need a lot of content. So it’s a good opportunity for dental writers to hone their skills

JOB TITLE: Senior Content Editor/Coordinator

Company:  DentaVacation

Job Type: Full time or contract

Location: Remote

Salary: Not Specified

Role Summary:

To oversee and improve its dental-tourism content. Responsibilities include editing and proofreading, fact-checking, coordinating writers and freelancers, managing editorial calendars, WordPress and SEO, and helping shape the company’s wider content strategy.

Who might be a fit?

A senior dental or healthcare writer/editor who is comfortable taking responsibility for other people’s content as well as producing their own. Strong editorial judgement, SEO knowledge and organisational skills are important.

Dale’s Take:

Probably the more interesting of the two DentaVacation positions for an established writer. It offers a move beyond simply producing articles into editing, coordination and content strategy.

JOB TITLE; Content Marketing Specialist

Company: Dentist Practice Marketing

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Remote

Salary: Not Specified

Role Summary:

Dentist Practice Marketing is looking for a content marketer to create SEO-driven blogs, website copy and social content for dental practices, while also contributing to broader content strategy and performance. The role calls for experience with SEO, WordPress and analytics tools.

Who might be a good fit:

An experienced dental content writer who wants to move towards a broader content-marketing role, particularly someone comfortable combining writing with SEO, strategy and performance analysis.

Dale’s Take:

This is one example of how a dental-content role can evolve into a content marketing role. The main caveat is the company’s geographic wording, which appears to indicate a US-focused remote position, so check eligibility before applying.

Healthcare & Medical Writing Opportunities

JOB TITLE: Medical Writer

Company: Sanofi

Job Type: 10-month contract with possible extension

Location: Remote

Salary: Not Specified

Role Summary:

This role focuses on healthcare copywriting for both healthcare professionals and consumers. The work includes articles, advertising, social media, video scripts, email and other promotional content, alongside fact-checking and working through medical/legal/regulatory review.

Who might be a fit?

An experienced healthcare or medical copywriter who is comfortable translating scientific information into clear, engaging copy for different audiences. Experience with regulated healthcare content and MLR review is important.

Dale’s Take:

A much more relevant medical-writing opportunity than a clinical-trials role. It’s a logical step sideways from dental content into broader healthcare copywriting, although the pharma/regulatory experience requirement makes it more of a stretch for some applicants.

This Week's Takeaway

Final Thoughts:  This week’s JobWatch shows that there are good opportunities for dental writers at every level.

And for those looking to branch into healthcare, medical copywriting offers another potential direction, particularly when you can combine strong writing skills with the ability to understand and communicate complex health information clearly.

Here’s to your success!
