Dental writing opportunities worth knowing about.
I’ve searched this week’s opportunities and picked out the ones I think are genuinely worth your time.

Monday 28th September

DENTAL WRITING OPPORTUNITIES

Content Marketing Operator — B2B Dental/Healthcare

Source: Upwork
Posted: Recently
Location: Remote

Type: Freelance, part-time, ongoing, 6+ months
Experience: Expert
Status: Live — 5–10 proposals, client viewed it 9 hours ago

Independent freelancer to manage and repurpose an existing stream of content for dental practices and multi-site dental groups. including: social media content sales pages, email/newsletter content and more.

DALE’S TAKE:

This is a little different from the conventional “write me 10 dental blogs” job, and that’s exactly why I like it for Jobwatch. It is much more about owning and managing specialist content, rather than simply producing words.

For someone with genuine dental-sector experience, it’s potentially a much more valuable proposition than a generic SEO writing gig.

Script Writer (Dental) — PulpScale Digital

Source: LinkedIn / PulpScale Digital
Posted: 23 September 2026
Location: Lucknow, India / hybrid
Type: Full-time
Experience: 1–3 years
Status: Live — direct employer careers page also shows the role

The work includes creating short-form video scripts for dental clinics and dental professionals:

Dental/healthcare content writing experience a must. As is the abiIlity to write in English, Hindi or “Hinglish”

DALE’S TAKE:
Again something a little different as video-scripting is something that more and more dental practices/companies are using. So this could be a good opportunity for the right person.

SEO Content Writer — RevenueWell

Source: RevenueWell
Type: Full-time, remote
Status: Live on the employer’s own careers page

RevenueWell provides SEO and marketing services to dental and medical practices, and the writer would produce:

  • Homepage copy
  • Treatment/procedure pages
  • Dentist biographies
  • Google Business Profile content
  • Patient-facing content
  • SEO content
  • Supporting social and paid-media content
  • Video scripts
  • Infographic content

The role specifically asks for someone who can translate technical dental and medical concepts into clear, engaging copy for a general audience.

It also asks for SEO experience, research skills, proofreading and the ability to manage multiple projects.

Dale’s take:
This is actually a very good example of the type of position I’d like DWC readers to recognise.

It’s not advertised as “Dental Writer”, but dental knowledge is explicitly part of the role. And the work covers exactly the sort of things we’ve been discussing

Brand Copywriter — Delta Dental

Source: Delta Dental Insurance Company
Posted: Yesterday
Location: Remote, US
Salary: $64,000–$135,000

This is a broader copywriting position rather than a conventional dental content-writing job.

The role covers brand and marketing copy across:

  • Email
  • Web
  • Social
  • Print
  • Video
  • UX
  • Advertising
  • Scripts
  • Digital content

Interestingly, the audiences include patients, dentists, dental groups, brokers and corporate audiences.

DALE’S TAKE

This project is a good illustration of where specialist dental knowledge can lead when combined with broader copywriting skills.

There is a US-location restriction, so it won’t be relevant to everyone. However,it may be worth asking the question if you are outside of the US.

Healthcare and Medical Writing Opportunities

Senior/Principal Medical Writer — Word Monster

Location: UK, remote
Posted: 5 days ago
Salary: £45,000–£65,000
Type: Full-time, permanent, remote-first

The role involves writing across a genuinely broad range of healthcare communications, including:

  • Medical education
  • Medical affairs
  • Clinical trial materials
  • Patient-facing materials
  • Scientific platforms
  • Training materials
  • Plain-language summaries
  • Infographics
  • Slide decks

DALE’S TAKE:

This is an interesting one because it shows just how broad medical writing can become once you move beyond traditional healthcare blogs and website content.  The role involves writing for both healthcare professionals and patients. That’s a skill we’ve talked about a lot at Dental Writers Club.

Please note that all the above job listings were available at the time of publishing.

This Week's Takeaway

This weeks JobWatch is pretty varied and demonstrates the amount of different opportunities out there if you know where to look.

We’ve got opportunities covering dental content, content marketing, video scripts, SEO and medical communications, which is a useful reminder that dental and healthcare writing can take you in all sorts of different directions.

You don’t necessarily have to spend your writing career producing blog posts. As your experience grows, there are opportunities to work on strategy, patient communications, video, brand content and much more.

And that’s something worth remembering if you’re building a career as a specialist writer.

Your expertise is valuable. The trick is recognising all the different ways you can put it to work.

Here’s to your success!
