DWC WEEKLY JOBWATCH

I’ve reviewed this week’s opportunities and selected the one’s I believe offer the best potential for dental and healthcare writers.

Monday 7th September

DENTAL WRITING OPPORTUNITIES

Copywriter & Creative Strategist Needed for Dental Health Brand: VSLs and Funnels

Source: Upwork
Pay: $15.00 -$200 per hour

30+hours per week to run over 6+ months
Location: Remote

A sharp direct response copywriter experienced in VSLs, email sequences, and Facebook ad copy.  Main focus will be writing high-converting funnel assets — including short VSLs, lead nurture emails, and scroll-stopping ad creatives.

DALE’S TAKE:
Very interesting. This isn’t conventional dental blog writing, but it’s exactly the sort of opportunity that demonstrates that dental writers can move into higher-value commercial copywriting.

Senior English Content Writer — Dental & Healthcare Aivora Digital / Dr Aimen Zia Dental Clinic | Karachi

Source: Glassdoor

Pay – Rs -60,000 – 80,000 per month

Location – In-House – Karachi

This is a particularly interesting brief from a writing perspective.

Looking for someone to create original content for dental and healthcare websites, including:

  • treatment and service pages
  • patient guides
  • dental blogs
  • educational articles
  • landing pages
  • doctor profiles
  • FAQs

The chosen person needs to be able to research, tell stories, explain complex dental subjects simply and write for real human readers, rather than simply generating articles.

DALE’S TAKE

This is an on-site role based in Karachi, so it isn’t for everyone but it does demonstrate the value in everything we teach at Dental Writers Club. It may also be worth contacting them and asking if they allow remote working.

Healthcare and Medical Writing Opportunities

US Healthcare Website Content Writer

Source: Upwork

Experienced medical writer writer to write articles, blog posts and web copy for a US-based healthcare site

DALE’S TAKE:
Not dentistry, but The emphasis is on taking complex healthcare information and turning it into clear, trustworthy patient-facing content. It’s part-time and potentially ongoing. It was posted 5 days ago.

Medical Writer – Educational Book

Pay: $4000 Fixed fee
Location: Remote

The writer would help produce an approximately 100-page educational book covering arthritis, chronic joint pain and genicular artery embolisation. The budget is $4,000, with the work divided into research, chapter development and revisions.

DALE’S TAKE:

Definitely worth including as a broader medical writing opportunity. It’s a good example of the sort of higher-value project experienced specialist writers can eventually target.

Please note that all the above job listings were available at the time of publishing.

This Week's Takeaway

Dental writing opportunities aren’t always advertised as “dental writing jobs.” This week’s listings include website copy, SEO, direct-response marketing and broader healthcare content — so don’t limit your search to jobs with “dental writer” in the title.

I think that fits Jobwatch perfectly and reinforces one of the messages we’re trying to get across at DWC.
